The Allandale neighborhood dates all the way back to 1841, when the President of the Republic of Texas gave land to George W. Davis. Since then, land has been sold but some of the Davis descendants can still be found there, and the historic Davis family cemetery can be seen on Vine Street. Most of the homes date back to the 1950’s and almost all of them have been remodeled, updated or are found in great condition to upgrade.
