Block House Creek Neighborhood
The neighborhood has its own homeowner’s association called the Block House Creek Owners Association (BHCOA). The association works on collaboration with the Block House Municipal Utility District (MUD) to ensure a completely clean water supply along with garbage and recycling services.
On the whole, the neighborhood is ideal for people who have a family and want their kids to live a happy, fun life and receive a good education.
There are three different parks in the neighborhood that provide children and grown ups with fun filled activities. Comanche Park allows you take a bike and ride around the park or play some other adventurous games. The Apache and Tumlinson Park allow many different and safe activities for children. They also feature pools that are heated during winter to avoid the cold. Tumlinson Park features a basketball court, two tennis courts and a sports court.
You can also enjoy summer picnics in the parks. Tumlinson Park features grills and picnic tables along with chess/checkerboard tables and a sand volleyball court.
Block House Creek is situated on the south of Leander city. It features two elementary schools for kids: Pleasant Hill Elementary and Block House Creek Elementary School. Children go to Leander Middle School and Leander High school once elementary school is over. If you have children who need pre schooling, you do not have to worry. You can easily find Stepping Stone School which is accredited and is one of the best preschools in the city.
