Rollingwood is a community located in West Lake Hills and is one of a variety of upper class communities that surround the waterfront areas of Lake Austin's South Shore. The Rollingwood community overlook scenic views of downtown Austin and provide easy access to the lake. Rollingwood in particular is a popular neighborhood for residents whose price-points fall in-between luxury lakeside manors and the more modest communities like Woodhaven.
As with many Westlake communities, the Rollingwood Neighborhood was heavily developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. One of the most desirable streets in Rollingwood is Stratford Drive. Although most roads in the neighborhood are along hillsides, Stratford Drive offers higher elevation and unobstructed views of downtown Austin. These homes may be more expensive, however they remain in-demand and are highly sought-after pieces of real estate.
