Principal's Message

Our campus has high expectations both academically and behaviorally. As parents and teachers, it is up to us to provide the best possible education in an ever-changing world. We have to prepare our students for a life of constant change and the students need the skills to be able to do this. Parent, teachers and administrators must work together in order to achieve this goal – the best learning environment for our students.

In order to achieve the best learning environment for our students, Wallace students may choose from a variety of courses in core subject areas, vocal and instrumental music, and foreign languages. Social and emotional needs of students are met in part through teacher teaming, students support services and a caring, nurturing staff.

Through our character counts program, we believe that we assist students to progressively accept more responsibility for self-discipline, to develop self-respect, to contribute to the community, to develop a love for learning and to strive for excellence.

Finally, we are proud to serve as a Professional Development Center for Texas State University . Working in collaboration with TSU, we have developed a field based block program in which teacher interns work with our students, teachers and TSU professors to gain valuable teaching experience. TSU has been recognized as one of the top teacher development programs in the United States.
