The Eanes Independent School District is among the state's top school districts. The district serves around 7,700 students across six elementary schools, two middle schools and the high school that is nationally recognized by Newsweek magazine as #72 in the nation. Among teachers at Eanes district schools, 37% hold a master's degree or higher, and more than half have over 10 years of teaching experience (Eanesisd.net). In fact, seven of the nine campuses have been recognized as U.S. Blue Ribbon Schools.
Westlake homes are found along the pastoral Travis County on the edge of the Texas Hill Country. Community sports are also available in Westlake and surrounding Austin, including the World Adult Kickball Association, the Austin Valkyries Women's Rugby Club, and the Austin Recreation Center that includes competitive tennis and skate parks for kids. If hitting fairways and greens is your thing, the Lost Creek Country Club and Austin Country Club are both located in the area. Both Westlake and the City of Austin will likely continue to grow in coming years, especially if the tech sector in the region continues to expand.
One final note: when searching for information about Westlake/West Lake Hills, be careful not to confuse it with the town of Westlake near Dallas/Fort Worth which shares the same name.
